  1. Dr. John Voukelatos says:

Dear Mick and Nicola, coin 355 has a picture, see the latest NAC sale, I include a link to this image and some more information.
    https://www.sixbid.com/browse.html?auction=2716&category=57171&lot=2295613

  2. john voukelatos says:

Sambon 355 is the same coin type, this line drawing does not represent either the British Museum, Cabinet des Medailles nor the Berlin specimen. I assume it refers to one of the specimens currently in the Naples Archeological Museum collection. I have images of the first 3 specimens and I will try to obtain images from Naples but I think that might be a difficult task.

    • njmolinari says:

You mean 335. The NAC coin is presumably one of the coins Sambon lists, since they say “this coin”. But I’d have to check what listings he gives under the coin description.

  3. john voukelatos says:

https://www.acsearch.info/media/images/archive/28/3311/3420021.m.jpg Hello again, I saw that 323 was sold and there is an image beyond the line drawing from Sambon’s book.

  4. njmolinari says:

    Thanks, John.

      • njmolinari says:

John, your images are not attaching properly./ Please send new find to njmolinari AT gmail.com. However, Many of these I have photos of in the print document, which I am assembling now for Potamikon II. I’d love for you to take a look at the draft if you are interested.

Hi i found a better example of this specimen with the name diophanos. cheersjohn voukelatos

      • njmolinari says:

Thanks for all these. I am making the changes in my print document but it will be a while before I update the site. Do you have any interest in reviewing the print document for me? It is a massive catalog of the silver coinage of the man-faced bull that I’m preparing for publication as part 2 of Potamikon.

      • voukelj@tpg.com.au says:

Dear Nicholas, I enclose sambon 494 and sambon 499. I have put these identifiers are the front of the images so they are not confused. Regarding 494 you wrote IB it should be BI. cheersjohn voukelatos

      • njmolinari says:

John these attachments did not come through. Can you send a link or email them to njmolinariATgmail.com

    • voukelj@tpg.com.au says:

      Hi,

No 335 can be further grouped as a) the Bunbury specimen with THS and b) TES. I enclose a specimen from the Kunsthistoriche vienna which definitely has the letters TES. Sometimes it  can be difficult with these coins are the condition of the ethnic is poor.

      cheers john voukelatos

    • voukelj@tpg.com.au says:

I found this as well. cheersjohn voukelatos

    • voukelj@tpg.com.au says:
